On Saturday, March 15, the El Dorado High School Academic WorldQuest team demonstrated exceptional knowledge and critical thinking skills at the Orange County Academic WorldQuest competition, held at Chapman University. The team of sophomores achieved an impressive second-place finish, missing a tie for first place by just one point.

Additionally, El Dorado High School’s two junior teams also performed admirably, securing fourth and fifth place in the countywide competition. The competition covered a wide range of complex global topics, requiring participants to engage in analytical reasoning and a deep understanding of international affairs. Subjects included The United States and Foreign Languages, Space and National Security, Nontraditional Approaches to Foreign Policy, Music and Globalization, Indigenous Peacebuilding, Critical Minerals in Africa, Borders and Boundaries, Mexico as the 2025 Focus Country, Great Decisions, and Current Events.

The strong performance of the El Dorado High School teams reflects their commitment to academic inquiry and their ability to synthesize information across multiple disciplines. Way to go Hawks!
