Community Volunteers Enhance PYLUSD Family Resource Center Despite Rainy Conditions

On April 26, volunteers from LOVE Fullerton and the United Way partnered with staff from the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District’s (PYLUSD) Family Resource Center (FRC) to enhance the parkway along Sapphire Street, adjacent to Topaz Elementary School. Undeterred by inclement weather, the dedicated group successfully cleared the parkway bed and replenished the mulch, significantly improving the appearance of the area surrounding the FRC.

Jon Matson, Supervisor of the Family Resource Center, expressed his appreciation for the collaborative effort: “We are so grateful to our community volunteers, local church members, students, and staff who came out to help us improve our wonderful center. The FRC looks more clean and inviting, and we continue to be amazed by the support from our surrounding community. Thank you to all who came out and got drenched while helping us!”

This community-driven beautification project reflects the strong spirit of collaboration and service that continues to benefit the students and families of PYLUSD.
