On Wednesday, July 2, students and staff across the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) came together to celebrate the Fourth of July through a series of engaging and patriotic events. Participants in the district’s Summer Enrichment, English Language Development (ELD) Summer Camp, and Extended School Year (ESY) programs took part in parades and activities designed to honor the nation’s independence.
These celebrations highlighted the values of freedom, unity, and diversity cornerstones of both the American spirit and the PYLUSD community. Students proudly showcased red, white, and blue attire while engaging in meaningful activities that fostered a sense of belonging and civic pride.
Festivities took place at several school sites, including Morse, Topaz, Fairmont, and Tynes elementary schools. Each campus provided a unique celebration, reflecting the creativity and dedication of staff to create memorable and enriching experiences for students.
