On Wednesday, October 8, fourth-grade students at Rio Vista Elementary School had the opportunity to participate in Public Power Week, an educational event hosted by the City of Anaheim Public Utilities. The program featured Anaheim City Council Members Balius, Campos Kurtz, and Maahs, who joined students for a series of engaging demonstrations focused on water conservation, electricity, and electrical safety. The learning experience combined hands-on activities with real-world applications, helping students understand the importance of sustainable practices and energy awareness. A highlight of the day included students riding in utility bucket trucks, an exciting and memorable experience for the young learners.
