Rio Vista Elementary Students Shine in Dare to Dream Jr. Musical Production

On April 25, Rio Vista Elementary School presented its annual musical production, Dare to Dream Jr., with two performances held at Valencia High School. The event drew a combined audience of more than 700 attendees across afternoon and evening performances, showcasing the talents of 65 student performers.

The production featured students imagining themselves as future Disney Imagineers while bringing to life a dynamic musical revue celebrating the creativity, innovation, and storytelling that define the Disney legacy. Audiences were treated to 20 musical selections representing more than 30 beloved Disney films, creating an engaging and memorable theatrical experience.

Students demonstrated remarkable dedication, confidence, and stage presence as they delivered energetic performances through song, dance, and acting. Their enthusiasm and commitment contributed to a production that captivated audiences and highlighted the value of arts education in fostering creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.

The musical was directed and choreographed by Mr. Leonel Diaz, marking his 14th production with Rio Vista Elementary, and featured the contributions of first-time musical director Miss Paige Williams. Together, their leadership helped create an inspiring performance that blended artistic excellence with meaningful student learning opportunities.

Through outstanding musical performances and imaginative storytelling, Dare to Dream Jr. provided an unforgettable experience for students, families, and community members, celebrating the talent and dedication of Rio Vista’s young performers.
