Buena Vista Virtual Academy Senior Recognized as Chamber Student of the Month

On Monday, April 27, Buena Vista Virtual Academy senior Mikayla De Leon was recognized by the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce Foundation as its March Student of the Month during a special surprise presentation held on campus.

Mikayla has distinguished herself through her consistent pursuit of excellence across all academic areas. She demonstrates a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to producing high-quality work, earning the respect of both her teachers and peers. Her dedication to learning and personal growth exemplifies the qualities of a successful and engaged student.

As part of the Foundation’s Student of the Month Program, Mikayla received a $100 scholarship presented by Foundation President Anthony Johnson, Treasurer Kevin McCobb, Board Member Lynn Campbell, and Executive Director Susan Wan-Ross. The program recognizes outstanding local high school students who exemplify academic achievement, leadership, character, and service to their communities.
