Fairmont Elementary Promotes Wellness and Community Through Annual Jog-a-Thon

On Wednesday, October 15, despite rain the night before, students and staff at Fairmont Elementary School proudly hosted their annual Jog-a-Thon. Each year, the school community unites to support students and enhance educational programs through engaging fundraising activities. This year’s goal was to raise $85,000, with participants competing for a variety of prizes, including a Lego-style carnival party for the top fundraisers.

Students, families, and local community members contributed to every aspect of the Jog-a-Thon. A DJ provided lively music, creating a fun and energetic atmosphere as young athletes worked toward their running goals. Colorful banners, cheering families, and the school mascot, Freddy Falcon, lined the sidelines, fostering a strong sense of unity and encouragement. The event concluded with runners enjoying refreshing otter pops generously donated by a Fairmont family.

More than just a fundraiser, the Jog-a-Thon served as a celebration of health, teamwork, and school spirit. The event exemplified Fairmont Elementary’s commitment to promoting physical activity and community engagement. Thanks to the dedication of families, community members, and sponsors, this year’s Jog-a-Thon was a tremendous success—demonstrating once again how collaboration and generosity help build a stronger future, brick by brick.
