Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary Club Honors Student Growth and Resilience Through Most Improved Student Program

On February 13, the Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary Club recognized three students through its Most Improved Student Program, an initiative presented three times annually and sustained for nearly a decade as a cornerstone of the organization’s youth recognition efforts. The program honors perseverance, personal growth, and transformation among local students. This year’s honorees were James DiMaggio of El Camino High School, Samantha Acedo of Esperanza High School, and James O’Neil of Yorba Linda High School.

Each student was nominated by school counselors in recognition of significant progress in academic performance, personal responsibility, and overall outlook toward future goals. Their individual journeys reflect resilience, determination, and a sustained commitment to self-improvement. Although Samantha Acedo was unable to attend the ceremony due to illness, her counselor accepted the award on her behalf.

The Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary Club continues to affirm its commitment to supporting and encouraging young people who demonstrate the dedication and courage to overcome challenges and realize their full potential.
