In June, senior Nisha Rao represented El Dorado High School at the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders in Boston. Principal Carey Cecil presented Nisha with the Academy’s Award of Excellence for her contributions and efforts in academics, leadership and service.
During the Congress, Nisha was able to meet some of today’s leading scientists, industry leaders and Nobel laureates. When Principal Cecil pointed out that Buzz Aldrin signed her certificate, Nisha calmly replied, “That’s nice. I got to meet him in Boston”.
The Congress selection process included students with at least a 3.5 GPA who aspire to careers in medicine, science and technology.
The National Academy of Future Scientists and Technologists supports all K-12 and college students who wish to devote their lives to the sciences and technology.
Congrats Nisha!
