On Tuesday, May 19, Tuffree Middle School welcomed students from George Key School for a special Activity Day focused on inclusion, friendship, and community building. The event brought students together through a variety of engaging activities designed to encourage interaction, teamwork, and meaningful connections.
The day began with a spirited welcome as students walked through a tunnel of pom-poms, created personalized name tags, and were introduced to the day’s activities by Tuffree’s WEB student leaders. Students also enjoyed performances by Tuffree’s Color Guard, Winter Drumline, and Dance Team, showcasing the talents and school spirit of the middle school community.
Following the performances, students participated in a series of interactive activity rotations led by WEB leaders. Popular stations included Just Dance, friendship bracelet making, adapted bowling, a dunk tank, cornhole, and candy bingo. Working together in small groups allowed students from both schools to engage with one another, build new friendships, and enjoy a fun-filled morning of collaboration and recreation.
The event was a memorable experience for students and staff alike, highlighting the power of connection and inclusion across school communities. Given its success, educators from both Tuffree and George Key have expressed interest in making the Activity Day an annual tradition, providing future opportunities for students to learn, connect, and celebrate together.
