Bernardo Yorba students present spectacular production of “The Music Man Jr.”

On Tuesday, April 26, and Wednesday, April 27, the Bernardo Yorba Middle School Advanced Drama program presented The Music Man Jr. during assemblies and evening shows. Performing such classic songs as “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Ya Got Trouble” and “Wells Fargo Wagon,” the musical was a big hit with students and parents alike! Sets were built and painted by BYMS students and parents, bringing the River City, Iowa, townscape to life. Seventh and eighth grade students have been working on the musical, memorizing lines, learning songs, blocking scenes, gathering costumes and props, and even learning sound and lighting techniques since January … a huge undertaking! All the hard work paid off at show time, as the students earned rave reviews from their peers, families and teachers! Way to go BYMS Advanced Drama!
