Esperanza High School’s Aztec Engineering & Manufacturing (AEM) Academy is helping to introduce more women to this competitive industry. AEM hosted a lunchtime event specifically targeted to high school girls interested in the engineering and manufacturing industries. Three members of the collegiate chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) from California State University, Fullerton, visited Esperanza to speak to these female students. Similar events designed to reach out to those who may be interested in pursuing an AEM career are being planned for the future.
