Sept. 26 is Johnny Appleseed Day, but since this date fell on a Saturday this year, Rose Drive Elementary School first graders celebrated this important day on the Friday before. Pictured are several of our first grade students sporting their “pan” caps, impersonating Johnny Appleseed perfectly. Students learned all about what made Johnny so special, and his quest to sow apple seeds wherever he went, effectively ensuring, “Not a soul would go hungry.”
