Second graders solve STEM puzzles at Mabel Paine

Mabel Paine Elementary School students in Mrs. Lyman’s second grade class started the school year with STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Poor Sam, the gummy worm snake, needed help putting on his “Life Saver,” and students could only use paper clips to help him! Collaborative groups of students worked through this very yummy puzzle, setting the stage for a great school year of exploration and creative problem solving.
