Five seniors from Esperanza named National Merit Commended Students

Esperanza High School is proud to announce that five seniors have been named Commended Students by earning qualifying scores for the 2017 National Merit Commended Student Program. Commended Students placed in the top five percent of the 1.6 million program entrants who take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualify Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

The five Esperanza students who received Letters of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic promise are Kara Fortier, Kaelee Holmes, Kristin Sandoval, David Tecker and Kristi Yee.

PYLUSD is very proud of these students and their achievements. The district is also proud of the teachers and staff, and the role they have played in the development of the outstanding academic programs at Esperanza High School.
