Students in Mrs. Miller’s class at Rio Vista Elementary School recently participated in a fun, seasonal STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) challenge. Working in their cooperative learning groups, the students had to conceptualize, build and test structures made from candy corn and toothpicks. The group with the sturdiest structure won bragging rights, as well as a sweet treat!
