Yorba Linda High School boys wrestling had a big weekend! Congratulations to seniors Malik Isterabadi and Alex Tang for qualifying to the CIF Southern Section Masters Meet. Both wrestled their way to a top five finish in a CIF championship tournament this past weekend. Malik, who has a 34-8 record, placed fourth for the second year in a row in a very competitive weight class, is currently ranked ninth in the southern section and is looking to qualify for state. Alex Tang has a 38-5 record this season, and became just the third wrestler in Mustang history to win a CIF title. Alex won a very exciting match in the finals that was decided by a last second takedown in overtime. Congratulations to Coach Brian Fortenbaugh and all Mustang wrestlers as they continue to compete!
