On December 3, Class of 2011 El Dorado High School (EDHS) alumnus, Gerard Gully, was sworn in by Class of 1989 alumna and Federal Magistrate Judge, Karen Scott, as one of the newest members of the California Bar. The State Bar of California is California’s official attorney licensing agency.

While at EDHS, Gully served on the school’s Mock Trial team. He has now been hired by the Orange County District Attorney’s office and even picked his first jury the same week.

Accroding to Sunshine Cavalluzzi, ED Law Academy Coordinator and Mock Trial Coach, Gully is one of four EDHS alumni who passed the bar this year. There is also Aurora Lopez, Class of 2010, Alexa Arndt, Class of 2012, and Jessica Gopiao, Class of 2011.

Way to go, Golden Hawks!
