On January 24, the Placentia Chamber of Commerce awarded the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) with the “Top Employer” award at the 54th Annual Excellence in Placentia Gala. According to the Chamber, PYLUSD is the largest employer in Placentia with nearly 2,500 employees.
For the first time, the Placentia Chamber of Commerce honored local businesses for their outstanding contributions to the economic health and quality of life in Placentia. Other nominees in this year’s top employer category included the City of Placentia, Sam’s Club, and Fairway Ford.
The event also recognized prominent local citizens, new businesses, youth volunteers, and more. Notably, all awards presented that evening were determined based on online votes by community members.
