On Wednesday, June 5 Golden Elementary School celebrated their National Blue Ribbon School award with a school-wide lunchtime celebration! Families were welcomed on campus to eat barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs. All students also received a free lunch and shaved ice, donated graciously by the Golden PTA.
Students, families, and teachers wore Golden “blue” in honor of the National Blue Ribbon Award, while music played and games ensued. The school’s 2019 sixth grade class donated a new seal (pictured below) which is now proudly displayed in the front of the school.
“It was a wonderful celebration enjoyed by the entire community!” Assistant Principal Kristin McDonald mentioned.
