On Thursday, September 12, the Valencia High School Vocal Jazz Ensemble proudly represent their school and the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) by performing at the Yorba Linda Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast.
This is the third year that Valencia’s vocal program has been invited to sing at the event held at the Yorba Linda Community Center. Dedicated students in the a cappella choir were encouraged to wake up at 4:15 a. to warm up their voices. Their microphone check was at 6:00 am. and students showed with excitement and enthusiasm, eager to perform. Students sang “America the Beautiful” and “Light in the Hallway.”
Afterwards, Mrs. Carmona, PYLUSD Board of Education Clerk, took the time to commend the students following their performance. Way to go, Tigers!
