Ruby Drive Elementary students and staff arrived to school on Monday, October 21 to find their campus covered in magical chalk art creations centered around the theme “Positive Vibes.”

To the school’s surprise, renowned local chalk artist, Dan Chaney, and a team of local students spent the weekend using Ruby Drive as their blank canvas. Students from Kraemer Middle School, Yorba Linda Middle School, El Dorado High School, Travis Ranch School, and other local schools took part in the fun with great anticipation of students and staff discovering the uplifting messages first thing Monday morning.

“Thanks to everyone for the smiles and squeaks of joy that filled the campus on Monday morning as everywhere we went, we were greeted with beautiful chalk drawings and kind messages,” Principal Diana McKibben shared.

Linda Hagar, an Instructional Aide at Ruby Drive, was responsible for organizing the chalk art.
