Valencia students competing in Chinese singing competition.

On Saturday, January 18, Valencia High School students competed in a Chinese singing competition at Chadwick High School in Palos Verdes. The competition was hosted by the Chinese Language Teachers’ Association of Southern California.

Student Elijah Chung won 2nd place in the solo category, as well as the People’s Choice Award. In addition, students Ashley Chen and Halie Sung won 2nd place in the group division. Each Tiger won a cash prize for their efforts!

All three students are taught at VHS by Alice Lin, Chinese Language and Culture Instructor. 干得好,老虎! (Chinese for “Good job, Tigers!”)
