At 5 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, the El Dorado High School aquatics program once again gave back to the community. For the last five years, the EDHS water polo team has been showing the Christmas spirit by participating in the annual “Spark Of Love” toy drive held at the Honda Center in Anaheim. The campaign collects new, unwrapped toys and sports equipment for under-served children and teens in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties. Several seniors, including Dean Imig, John MacDonald and Kent Mertins, were also interviewed by meteorologist Bri Winkler from ABC7 news.
