The front of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District’s Family Resource Center at Topaz Elementary School recently received a make over thanks to Homeless Liaison/ELPAC Coordinator, Jon Matson, and a team of Love Fullerton volunteers. All of the planters were filled with wood chips and the sidewalks were power washed in order to beautify the space and make it even more welcoming to families who visit.

That day, a total of 17 Love Fullerton volunteers including Brian Chapman, Christopher Chapman, Patrick Huber, Alex Hubur, William Huber, Thom Davis, Thomas Dillon, Kyle Kim, Sun Joo Kim, Mason Uhm, Amy Uhm, Emma Mason, Maricela Alarcon, Sofia Aranda, Jessica Aranda, Niccolai Aranda, and Jesus Silva from the Fullerton City Council. The Huber family was also a big help and represented their local Boy Scout troop. PYLUSD employees including Maria from the Family Resource Center and Pedro from Topaz School also joined in on the efforts.

“Love Fullerton” is a city-wide serve day event that partners with local religious groups, city government, law enforcement, local businesses, service organizations, public and private education, and local residents to beautify various areas throughout the city.
