Rose Drive Elementary School hosts several events during month of March

Rose Drive Elementary School had a very busy month of March! Third through fifth graders performed in the musical Shrek at the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Performing Arts Center.

“What an incredible job these students did singing and dancing for the audience,” Principal Kathleen Escaleras-Nappi shared. “Two performances entertained lots of family and friends and all who attended left the show with smiles for miles. Great job Roadrunners, we can’t wait to see next year’s performance.”

The Roadrunners then celebrated students who earned second-trimester awards on March 14. These students were honored with academic awards as well as character awards such as showing compassion, determination, and patience. Students learn how to be their personal best with Coach John Wooden’s “Pyramid of Success.”

Lastly, March 24 and 25 were also very special days at Rose Drive with their “Lunch with a Loved One” event. Students greeted family members and then found the perfect picnic spot for their special lunch.  The campus was sprinkled with families enjoying the sunshine together while eating lunch, playing, and attending the school’s Book Fair.
