Valencia High School collaborates to spread holiday cheer

On Monday, December 11, Valencia High School’s (VHS) ASB hosted a community event fundraiser where parents, staff, and families had the opportunity to take a photo with Santa Claus for $5.  The school’s ASB members also provided gift-wrappings services at a minimal cost. Community members were encouraged to bring unwrapped toys of $5 or more in value to distribute to less fortunate kids in the community.

This event was a great collaborative effort between VHS ASB, North Orange County ROP, and the school’s AP Photography class.  ROP Building/Construction teacher, Roy Morrison, supervised students in designing, building, and staining Santa’s chair, while photographers for the community event came from Valencia’s own AP Photography class. The school’s collaborative effort certainly put smiles on the faces of families who attended.
