In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Disneyland, the resort launched its first-ever Dreamers & Doers program. Rooted in Disney’s commitment to supporting youth and the community, Dreamers & Doers recognizes students who take action in creating a brighter tomorrow.
Four students from the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) were selected as Dreamers & Doers:
Valencia High School
- Hemant Kadiamada
- Valerie Narumi
Yorba Linda High School
- Angela Chuang
- Seung-Hee Yoo
All four were treated to a celebration luncheon on Saturday, Feb. 20, along with two family members and a representative from their school. They also received two one-day “Park Hopper” tickets to Disneyland.
Additionally, these students were identified as “Shining Stars” by Disneyland. To inspire fellow students to make their school a better place, each of our “Shining Stars” received a $1,000 grant for their school, as well as a Dreamers & Doers medal of recognition.
