Valencia High School (VHS) is undergoing a library renovation to transform the facility into a makerspace that offers students the opportunity to create intellectual and physical materials using resources such as 3D printers, Google JamBoard, iMacs, iPads, LED screens, Google Surface Studio, and traditional arts and crafts supplies.
Valencia’s own Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA) students are assisting with the demolition process and will be building and installing a new circulation desk, as well.
The project is slated to be completed by the 2018-2019 school year and is grant funded. The Tigers would like to extend a special thank you to Joy Millam, Natasha Ulibarri, Mike Young, and Cary Johnson for their vision and facilitation of this project.
