Rose Drive Elementary School’s Preppy K and kindergarten students celebrated Nursery Rhyme Day on Thursday, Nov. 17. Students enjoyed an array of 10 interactive centers based on various nursery rhymes. Activities included making spouts for “itsy bitsy” spiders; decorating and eating “Hot Cross Buns,” then learning the notes of the tune on a xylophone; making their very own “twinkling stars”; and playing a game to the rhyme of “The Muffin Man.” They moved freely from one center to the next, enjoying the varied crafts and challenges presented at each station. Oh, to be a Preppy K or kindergarten student all over again!
