A few El Dorado High School Science Olympiad students recently went to California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo to compete in a “build-a-thon” and took 2nd out of 30 participants!
The Golden Hawks won with their “ExoSkelton” invention, a device that can be worn in times of natural disaster for firefighters or first responders. The device makes it possible for individuals to lift huge amounts of weight. They solved a problem…how to rescue in the event of a natural disaster, when you might have limited access to vehicles or people.
They students had to not only design the product, but also present in front of a large crowd of people and judges. Great work, EDHS students!
