Recently the Yorba Linda Library held their 11th Annual Awards Ceremony at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library. This art contest is designed specially for teens to express their visions and ideas through original works of art and literature. The contest is open to all schools in the area.

In the category drawing and painting, Aztec students won first, third, and two honorable mention awards. The theme of the contest was “Lucid Dreams” and each student wrote a 100 word statement of how their creative vision was interpreted.

For the Aztecs, Sariah Gallego received first place, Isabella Paulus received third place, Kyle Seward and Bethany Jones received honorable mentions, and Jered Frigillana was the Nixon Library Staff’s Pick based on creativity and theme.
