Esperanza High School is proud to announce their results from the 9th & 10th grade academic decathlon competition, which was held over three days in May. Here are the seven-team members and their individual awards:
1. Shelly Li
2. Katie Flanagan: 2 medals (1st speech, 4th social science)
3. Chessa Park: 3 medals (4th speech, 5th music, 5th literature)
4. Tyler Furuichi: 3 medals (2nd essay, 3rd music, 4th science)
5. Isabelle Tumakay: 3 medals (1st essay, 4th music ,4th literature)
6. Justine Koo: 5 medals (3rd speech, 3rd math, 4th literature, 4th music, 4th essay)
7. Emma Beelner: 7 medals (1st essay, 1st art, 1st music, 1st literature, 1st social science, 3rd science AND 3rd overall individual in the scholastic GPA category)
In total, the team earned 23 medals, earning at least one medal in every event. Way to go, Aztecs!
