Esperanza High School has earned the Silver Award for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). This year the Esperanza staff decided that they wanted to hear from students about how they should implement, model, teach Aztec PRIDE (Positive, Responsible, Innovative, Determined, and Engaged) at Esperanza.
The school held its first student PBIS leadership team meeting to start the discussion on what Esperanza does well and what the school can improve on for each letter of PRIDE. Students we engaged and gave some great feedback and we will dive deeper into that at our next meeting in January.
