All of the Italian exchange students from El Dorado, Esperanza, and Valencia high schools met up at Luigi’s D’Italia Restaurant located in Fullerton on October 26 for dinner.
Luigi’s has been a staple in Orange County since 1981 and is renowned for its Italian cuisine, as the owners are from Calabria, Italy. One of Luigi’s most famous dishes, which the students ate, is called gnocchi, pictured below. Gnocchi are dumplings that are served with either a Bolognese, Marinara, or Ragu-based sauce.
In addition to the delicious gnocchi, the students feasted on homemade Italian bread and finished off the dinner with tiramisu and cannoli for dessert. All students were very pleased with the tasty meal.
Besides the meal, the students had a great time enjoying one another’s company. It was a fun time for all present—eating, conversing, and laughing.
