On January 20, Kraemer Middle School hosted a movie night event for all AVID students and their families. Students, parents, and siblings alike laid out their blankets and chairs to create a cozy theater experience in the MPR to watch the classic movie, The Sandlot. Everyone was treated to a pizza dinner and plenty of movie snacks with the AVID teacher team of Clarivel Chea, Sheila Chew, Michael English, Kirsten Spicer, and Will Stanley.
According to AVID Coordinator Beth Mazurier, “AVID is a big commitment for our students and, especially in middle school, the family contributes so much to the students’ success. This was our way of bringing our AVID families together to say thank you and have a little fun.” It was a success on both accounts!”
