On Wednesday, April 26, the Valadez Middle School Academy AVID team, in conjunction with school counselor, Mrs. Plascencia, hosted a very special career day. A total of 28 speakers arrived eager to share their educational and career journeys with middle schoolers. Speakers included law enforcement, medical professionals, morticians, a tax preparer, a chef, a beautician, and so much more!
Every speaker was able to engage students in learning about potential career opportunities for their future. The Eagles were especially excited to welcome back Mrs. Minerva Gandara, the first VMSA principal when the school opened in 2008, who is now serving as a flight attendant after her retirement from public education.
“Our Eagles would like to thank all of our presenters for providing such valuable insight and discussion on their careers,” shared Principal Dr. Christa Borgese.
