Esperanza Holds Their AZTEC PRIDE CARD Week

Students at Esperanza show their PRIDE every day at school by being Positive, Responsible, Innovative, Determined, and Engaged. This is the motto that Esperanza has for their Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program to boost student engagement and learning.

Students can earn PRIDE cards around school for displaying the PRIDE characteristics to teachers, staff, counselors, or custodians. These PRIDE cards hold a monetary value, through which students can purchase items from the finance office like spirit wear, dance tickets, yearbooks, etc.

Two weeks a year Esperanza holds PRIDE card week with incentives each day that students can get by turning in PRIDE cards. This semester’s week was filled with yummy treats that got everyone in the mood to earn more cards. It was a great week and a fun way to encourage the PRIDE characteristics Esperanza looks for on campus.
