Students from Esperanza High School purchased all 380 Ruby Drive Elementary School students a gift this holiday season. Then, on December 21, students from 23 different clubs, sports teams, and academy pathways at Esperanza traveled to Ruby Drive for the annual gift exchange.
The Aztecs take the lead in purchasing, wrapping, and personalizing every gift. Upon arriving at Ruby Drive, the 180 visiting high school students visit classrooms, participate in crafts, games, and writing activities, and then present their gifts to students.
“Our elementary students express gratitude for their gifts and the time taken to organize this wonderful event,” said Ruby Drive Principal Lisa Carmona.
Before the day was over, Esperanza’s very own Santa Claus arrived to visit every classroom, sparking joy across Ruby Drive’s entire campus.
“This is such a great community event that really brings forth the season of giving and generosity,” Esperanza ASB Director Meghann Lukach shared.
The Aztecs would like to share a special thanks to Principal Carmona and all the Ruby Drive teachers and staff for letting the Esperanza students come and celebrate with students.
