Brookhaven kindergartners enjoy “Big Buddy Day” at El Dorado

Brookhaven Elementary School kindergartners were assigned to partner with El Dorado High School Advanced Photography students to work on a semester-long project. The purpose was to write a story that aligned to the kindergarten standards, which include a character, setting, problem and a solution. The children collaborated with their big buddy, and wrote a story. From there, they were able to come up with costumes, and act out scenes where the kindergarten students were photographed by their big buddy.

El Dorado teacher, Audra Ross, included voice recordings of Brookhaven students, which will coincide with the photo story their big buddy will be writing and digitizing using the photos that were taken.

The students will meet back up with their big buddies, and will be presented with their very own book!
