On Tuesday, October 22, Woodsboro Elementary’s kindergarten class experienced an exciting and educational Fire Safety Assembly, led by a captain from the Brea Fire Department. The event offered young students a firsthand look at the essential roles of EMTs and firefighters, teaching them about the importance of emergency services in the community. Students eagerly learned when to call 911, the life-saving technique of “Stop, Drop, and Roll,” and other vital safety tips to help them respond confidently in case of an emergency.
The assembly was both informative and interactive, as students were given the opportunity to ask the fire captain questions about his work and equipment, gaining valuable insights into what it takes to serve and protect. This engaging session sparked excitement and curiosity, leaving students inspired by the heroes who keep them safe every day.
