Yorba Linda Middle School’s Bobcat’s Closet Showcases Sustainability and Community Spirit

Yorba Linda Middle School's Bobcat's Closet: A Showcase of Sustainability and Community Spirit

Yorba Linda Middle School (YLMS)’s Associated Student Body (ASB) recently spearheaded an initiative to promote sustainability and community engagement through their innovative project, Bobcat’s Closet. This temporary thrift store featured an impressive assortment of clothing items generously donated by members of the community.

ASB students took the lead in organizing the donations, transforming the Bobcat Den into a vibrant thrift store for one week. This creative endeavor provided students with an eco-conscious shopping experience, allowing many to find unique items to share as gifts with friends and family during the holiday season.

The project was met with enthusiastic participation, drawing over 250 YLMS students and distributing 373 clothing items. The dedication and teamwork of the ASB students were instrumental in the event’s success, fostering school spirit while encouraging sustainable practices among the student body.

Bobcat’s Closet is set to return in the spring, continuing its mission to support both the environment and the community. YLMS would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed through donations. Way to go Bobcats!
