In February, 100 enthusiastic sixth-grade students from Morse Elementary and Tynes Elementary ventured into the great outdoors for an unforgettable experience at science camp from February 18-21. The students spent their days exploring nature through activities such as hiking, building survival shelters, and learning about the diverse wildlife inhabiting the wilderness. The adventure extended into the evening with night hikes, offering students a unique opportunity to experience nature in a new light.
With ideal weather conditions throughout the week, the sixth graders took full advantage of their time outdoors, forming lasting memories and new friendships. They engaged in team challenges, observed wildlife, and enjoyed the natural surroundings, embracing every aspect of the camp experience.
A special thank you goes out to the dedicated sixth-grade teachers who accompanied the students on this overnight trip. Their commitment and enthusiasm were instrumental in making science camp an enriching and enjoyable experience for all involved. Their hard work and support played a key role in creating a memorable and meaningful adventure for the students.
