On Tuesday, March 8, the Board of Education recognized several of the district’s standout Career Technical Education (CTE) students, also known as CareerLink Academies of PYLUSD. High school principals selected a few students from each program to attend and receive a special certificate. Director of Secondary Education Mr. Cary Johnson briefly recapped the programs and the students’ achievements. Then, two of these “students of excellence” – Nolan Voge (El Dorado, DMAA) and Kayla McGeorge (Esperanza, MSA) – spoke to the Board about their experiences.
