Students come together to solve ECM word problems at Rose Drive Elementary

Students in Mrs. Osborn’s fourth grade math class at Rose Drive Elementary School put their collaboration skills to work solving extending children’s mathematics (ECM) word problems. The students used this opportunity to explore multiple methods of solving real-world problems. They started out solving them individually, then came together with other students to share their methodology. The students left with the realization that there is more than one way to come up with an answer.
