Mrs. Proctor’s third grade class at Woodsboro Elementary School created their very own pig during the reading of Charlotte’s Web. Students learned about character, setting, plot and problem/solution during their unit of study. Wilbur, one of the main characters, is a young pig living on a farm in New England who’s terrified that he’ll end up on the dinner table. In the novel, he becomes the friend of the spider, Charlotte. Mrs. Proctor’s students proudly display their very own Wilbur.
