Morse Team Kids celebrates success

In February 2016, Morse Elementary School joined the Team Kids Challenge. The students just celebrated their culminating carnival.

On Tuesday, March 22, the Morse fifth and sixth grade leadership team set up their booths and games for the culminating student-run carnival during lunch recess. Firefighters from Placentia also joined in on the fun. Morse raised $472.79, by selling tickets for the carnival. All proceeds will go to the Santa Ana Zoo to help endangered animals.

On Thursday, March 24, the Morse PTA provided a luncheon for the leadership team, and Placentia Police Chief Ward Smith joined them for his last day on the job before retirement. The students were given a Team Kids shirt, courtesy of the Placentia Police Department.

Morse was the first school in Placentia and the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District to team up with Team Kids. This event was a huge success, and a positive experience for everyone involved!
