George Key School Celebrates the Class of 2026

On Tuesday, June 9, George Key School held a commencement ceremony recognizing the accomplishments of Class of 2026 graduate Priscilla Schroth. The ceremony took place in the multipurpose room at Golden Elementary School and was attended by fellow students, family members, staff, and district leaders who gathered to celebrate this important milestone.

Principal Rebecca Allan opened the ceremony by welcoming attendees and acknowledging the distinguished guests in attendance. Among those recognized were Board of Education President Carrie Buck, Vice President Tricia Quintero, Trustee Marilyn Anderson, Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kym LeBlanc-Esparza, Deputy Superintendent of the Academic Leadership Team Dr. Candace Perez, Chief Business Officer Dr. John Pappalardo, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Chad McGough, Director of Special Education Jayme Nash, and Assistant Director of Special Education Jaymie Shill. Principal Allan also highlighted Priscilla’s contributions to the George Key School community and reflected on her educational journey.

A special address was delivered by Director of Special Education Jayme Nash, who recognized Priscilla’s perseverance, growth, and achievements throughout her educational experience. Nash emphasized the importance of celebrating individual milestones and acknowledged the dedication of the educators, staff members, and family members who supported Priscilla along the way. She noted that Priscilla’s ability to communicate, express herself, and bring joy to those around her reflected both her personal growth and the strong relationships she developed throughout her time at George Key School.

Adding a personal dimension to the ceremony, teacher Michele Cardenas shared reflections and memories that highlighted Priscilla’s unique personality, accomplishments, and positive impact on the school community. The celebration also included a video presentation featuring photographs from Priscilla’s years at George Key School, illustrating her growth, experiences, and meaningful connections with classmates and staff members.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of a Certificate of Completion to Priscilla. Family members, friends, and staff celebrated this significant achievement with enthusiastic applause and expressions of pride.
