Parkview’s “singing scientist” Olivia Knox performs at Disneyland

Olivia Knox, a fifth grader at Parkview School, performed as a soloist for Disneyland’s “Make a Wish” #ShareYourEars campaign on Monday, March 14.

Olivia has always loved music, and has branched out into many professional venues over the last year. In November, she attended auditions for the first child soloist to participate in the annual Candlelight Processional at Disneyland. She was honored to be chosen to perform with a 600-person choir filled with magical voices from all over California, not to mention a beautiful live orchestra and the specially trained Disneyland choir. Geena Davis hosted the event.

Olivia stays very busy with local theatre and dance, but has an equal love for art and science. She enjoys painting animals and natural concepts, and also raising her own fish and birds. If not music, Olivia hopes to pursue marine biology, botany and/or zoology! Just think of her as “the singing scientist”!
