On Friday, May 13, approximately 30 El Dorado High School seniors went on a field trip to Santiago Canyon College (SCC), and are now registered for their first semester of college! Through the SCC Early Welcome Program, students who applied and completed their placement tests the college were invited to attend orientation and register. There were breakout sessions for seniors interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), teaching pathways, the honors program, and extended opportunity programs and services (EOPS). All Early Welcome students have priority registration for their entire first year of college. Thanks to SCC, a bus and lunch were also provided. Congrats to these EDHS Hawks who will soon transition into SCC Hawks!
